Both my hubby and I grew up in broken homes, so communication with each other is something we have struggled with in the past and still have to be intentional with 10 years into our marriage. We are getting better. We don’t have screaming matches & don’t bottle it all in nearly as much as we used to. PROGRESS!!!
I don’t believe this is something to be ashamed of, nor to use as a gauge of how great a marriage is as long as everyone involved is willing to give it their best. This shit takes work yo.
So, instead of looking at it from a dreaded standpoint or “this is too hard” mindset, I encourage you to look at this as a skill set that just needs to be learned.
