The truth, sobriety is gonna have its highs and lows, as well as motherhood.

And YOU, momma have to suit up and face both; you can do that.

What has really helped me stay inspired as a Sober Mom are these 6 Badass Tools, you ready?

Lets rock and roll

Disclaimer: My rule of thumb is to never share resources that you either don’t like or haven’t tried, so this list of my most helpful, badass tools that you can trust.

1) Affirmation Cards:

I don’t know about you, but I was a MESS when I first came into sobriety!  I really thought I was the scum of the earth and hated who I was <<<<< that mindset was what kept me drinking/using.

So it was non-negotiable, I needed to reprogram my beliefs about myself.

Because I wanted my kids to love who they were, but I needed to be that example since monkeys do as they see & not so much as they’re told.

It really started with small ideas, that I repeatedly saw, and pushed me into new ones!!

We created some free ones specifically for you!!  You can get them HERE

2) Community/Phone list

Nothing saved my ass more than a badass group of sober women & moms I can lean on.

As moms also in recovery, they KNEW what I was going through.

I felt heard, I felt seen, and I knew I had support.

And the best part about others in recovery, they are very solution oriented vs. just complaining.

Don’t get me wrong, we NEED to get things off our chests; it’s what we do with it though that makes the difference.

We offer a FREE community support groups for Brave Sober Moms like you!!  Join us HERE

3) Emotionally Intelligent Audio Books

Again, I needed to reprogram my brain.  I was where I was because of my programing and my brain wasn’t my friend anymore.

What’s awesome about Audio Books is you can listen to them as many times as you want in the shower, doing dishes, driving the car, or whatever; it’s super dope because as a mom I don’t have a lot of time to sit down and read.

Audible is super cool cause you can get a free book with a 30-90 day trial!! Not gonna lie here, I have re-enrolled a FEW times to take advantage…..

and if you prefer the ACTUAL book itself, you can get them through these links too!

Here’s a list of some of my favorites to listen too that were transformational to me in my sobriety:

4) Daily Journaling

I don’t need to write my heart out every day, but I do need to set my day with intention.

It’s grounding, raises my frequency to face the day, and sets my intention with hope.

Less than 5 minutes though please; because as a mom, you know how quickly things can change.

THIS is my go-to journal: The 5-minute Journal (it says 5 minutes but it’s really only 3)

5) A Mom Coach

There have been times in my motherhood that I have felt the need and want to have a mom coach.

My examples were my mom, tv, and society at large, and even though there is a lot of awesome things I got from them all, I feel I had a lot of gaps to fill emotionally and in my identity.

Can you relate to that?

Not only did I want to be there differently for my kids, I wanted them to have a different experience all together…

I just didn’t know where to start.

I have worked with Lindsay Anderson with Kingdom Mom Coaching for 3+ years now and appreciate her heart and coaching style.  As sober moms, we are our own breed and I have always felt accepted and heard from her.

You can check her out HERE

6) Money stuff

So has money ever stressed you out?  Whether you were drinking or sober?

GIRL, me too.

I don’t know about you, but stress was always a good reason and excuse to use/drink.

and that isn’t an option anymore.

Our household went from living paycheck-to-paycheck to paying off over +280K in debt & have a generous emergency fund AND savings account without increasing our income.

I have studied and implemented a lot of things to get our money to work for us, SO!

We created a FREE Redeeming Finances eCourse so you can not only do the same BUT show your kiddos how to do it too!!

Go here to get it now, have immediate access, and get rid of the money stress for good!

7) Bonus #1: Aromatherapy

If you just eye rolled, i get it hahaha;

I actually really believed it was hokey but the universe kept persisting I give it a go though: past life reports, influential mentors of mine, and suggestions from friends.

now, it’s part of my every day and I can contest to the benefits cause it has saved my ass so many times.  Which, according to Organic Facts.net aromatherapy benefits are:

Stress reliever, antidepressant, manages psychiatric disorders, increases energy levels, speeds of healing of the body, reduces headaches, regulates sleep, strengthens the immune system, pain reliever, and can improve digestion, and more.

Not to mention, the frequency of each oil can raise your own.
