Dates, Dates, Dates, they are so important!! I feel they are completely undervalued by either not getting done or it’s the same thing always with no adventure or excitement.
it’s important to mix things up date-wise.
Although going out is fun, it’s nice to stay home because things can usually start or end in the bedroom – without rushing anywhere/everywhere!!
I’m also going to add, with COVID things happening a lot of places may be closed, booze are usually a standard and it can all just be a bit to expensive.
NOTE: We actually go over ideas like this, as well as money strategies, in our FREE Brave Sober Moms community and support group in – join us to get connected HERE!
but yeah! my hubby and have have found to enjoy more low key dates ourselves at times, AND it’s easy to keep booze out of the picture! WIN!!
Here are 10 Date Ideas for at Home:
1) Order in & a movie
Just make things super simple all the way around; if you have kiddos you can pick up dinner after dropping them off on the way home and don’t forget your favorite movie candy!
2) Desserts & coffee
Instead of getting a whole pie or cake, share a variety of individual slices together!
3) Old school music & pizza
There is nothing like rocking out to your old favorites and reminiscing over some pizza.
4) Game night & finger foods
Chess, card games, video games, or whatever your fancy is. Pick up your favorite finger foods to veg out on.
5) Dance lesson & crockpot meal
YouTube has some pretty fun and awesome dancing lessons. They create a lot of laughter too.
6) Evening walk & cooking dinner together
Simple is always better unless there was a certain meal you two have been wanting to try for a while – Go for it!
7) Campfire, Music & Yard tenting
Pick some of your favorite camping foods and spend all evening outside!
8) Tub/Shower Play & Breakfast
or maybe shower after breakfast since syrup can be messy 😉
9) Carpet/Yard Picnic
Deli foods are always fun for these! or you can just order in ….
10) Date Box!
DateBox by Happily are uber fun!! We enjoy them all the time and it takes all the guesswork out of what to do. The game, meal, music, conversation starters, and the theme are all decided and customized to you as a couple!
You can get a date box here!
Hope these ideas help you out!
